Art and Science find a beautiful harmony in Lee Hendrickson’s photographs of crystals. Taken through a microscope, these crystalline landscapes confound the imagination with their kaleidoscope of colors and patterns; all reproduced as originally seen. The colors in these crystal photographs are the result of refraction of white light through the many crystal facets, much like a prism effect. Crystals have long been coveted for their healing power and beauty, but seldom have they been revealed with such intimate and stunning detail.

"Capturing intimate visions of Americana, found as I travel across the country, is a passion in my life. Creating these intimate little stories of small towns fascinate me. These images are a small portion of a body of work I’ve been creating over the past year and half. Craig van den Bosch, currently artist in residence and visual arts curator for the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, obtained his MFA in Painting in 2007 in the contemplative state of Montana. He has lived in Oakland, Minneapolis, and Bozeman and grew up along the shores of Lake Michigan.

"Technology is changing the way in which we interpret these age-old perceptions of reality and weaves a new fabric. How will we interact within this new fabric? It is uncertain. These are the questions I am raising in my work."

Marty Gordon earned his BFA in Printmaking from University of West Florida, and an MA in Communications from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He spent 9 years as a creative minister focusing on matters of faith and the arts, and in 2004 met his wife Sarah, who taught him the art of collage.

"Through his art, Marty is asking questions, inviting debate and telling stories. Looking at one of his works is akin to peeking through a window into another world, a world where art, humor, faith, tension and candidness live together in vignettes of surreal commentary."

Dylan Priest was raised in Lenexa, Kansas, but spent much of his childhood traveling around the United States with his family. After Graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design with his B.F.A in Photography, he returned to Kansas to get started in the industry before moving on to Seattle, Washington where he now lives and works as a Photographer.

“I find that getting lost on trips yields my best photographic work. I have always felt there is a wind behind you, or in you, pushing you through this life…and the best thing you can do is just go with it and see all that you can. I like to capture those moments and the ideas that grow from it. I find comfort in photography. It lets me share my thoughts, ideas, and life with the world around me.”
